Ten years ago, a fatal and near untraceable disease was discovered with the deaths of six children in Manila. After finding out that the disease is only transferable through skin contact, the city is shut off from the world, until a cure could be found.
Now in present day, twenty-one year old Jericho survives by being an intimus - someone who sells human touch inside the walls of the Neo-Manila QZ. Though the crime is considered punishable by death, both police and citizens have come to accept them as part of "normal" life.
That is, until a new chief inspector is put into position, who’s determined to rid the streets of intimus once and for all.
Now Jericho, deprived of clients, is starving. And the decisions he will make will determine if he dies by the end of the day, continue being a survivor...
Or maybe, show him something that's thought impossible in Neo-Manila : love.

Woah. Can't wait for continuation
I've finally got around to playing the demo (been following the project since I first saw its WiP thread, but didn't find time to finally play it when it released) and I must say, wow.... I was officially sucked in, from the prologue, to diving into the story. A horrible, cold world with a vicious disease that would cause the outlawing of skin contact and the utter mental and physical consequences it causes, and the desperation for intimacy you'd pay money simply to.... hold hands, or even hug!
I really enjoyed looking at each sneak peak of a route. The characters were all very interesting, and I love the muted colors which really shows how numb and sad the world has become. The desperation of the characters, from fear of contracting Mother to simply needing to be warm and wanting to feel loved... how those two feelings conflicted... just wow, this is so well written and I am curious where some of the direction of the story would go! I also really love how the story is based in the Philippines ^^
Now I know there hasn't been news on this project in awhile, but anyone reading this, I still think even as a demo this game would be worth your time. The death endings are intense, and the good (pseudo) endings, whilst open-ended being a demo, still feel quite satisfying. And if the devs ever decide to pick up producing the game again, know you definitely have a fan eagerly awaiting to play the full version ^^
Is this game discontinued?
This game is really cool. I'd love to play the full version!
Although I have to say I'm a bit bummed out because I can't play the bonus scene ;_; There seems to be an exception while running game code, I don't know if it's a fault on my side orr...
Firstly, thanks a whole bunch to the devs for reaching out to me and pointing me in the direction of their game! I'm always happy (and honoured) to be asked!
Now then, onto the game itself. Interactive stories like this one can be a real challenge to pull off, but this one does a cracking job of it by using some great little tactics.
The first one is the subtle use of music cues and sound effects. When you're not relying on action and movement in a game, the soundtrack needs to be really on point, and Do Not Love has a great little soundtrack interlaced with some also great sounds!
Secondly the story is riveting, and the choices we have to make as the game progresses are all really tough ones. Agonizing ones! Life defining ones for our character and the people around him. This really makes you invested in who you play as, who you interact with and the world around you.
Really, it's a top notch job with likable characters (even the protagonist!), a great plot and a whole raft of different endings to discover by choosing different paths! Only one ending for me so far but I'm going to dig around for more for sure and I encourage you all to do so too.
As for the devs, keep up the awesome work! I really enjoyed this =)
I really enjoyed playing this and can't wait to upload the rest of it! if you are reading this I highly recommend giving it a play!
here's my part 2!
AND FINALLY A GOOD END!
Thanks for telling me about DNL... there's definitely need of some human touch in Neo-Manila. Love will prevail! :)
I found a good end! However, I'm not a maid. EVER.
I absolutely adored how hard it was to find the good end through so much happening!
Thanks for playing, Dreamcatcher! You got some mighty bad luck there xD. Hope we could see you get a good end too!
I am really excited for the upcoming demo!! ^^
Thanks Tofu! We can't wait to show you guys either!
I'm still really looking forward to playing more of this sometime! If there's any way I can contribute to the project to help somehow (though I don't know too much in terms of code) I hope you might let me know!
Hey there, arceus, thought you'd like to know that we're coming out of cryo-freeze (aka hiatus) in order to finish the demo for NaNo 2019 :D I'll keep ya posted my man, hope you're doing well and still interested in our project :)
I'd almost forgotten about this (222 days ago, it says?) but I am definitely still interested! Thanks for the reply!
I played this a while again and I'm (impatiently) awaiting the Day 1 patch! Any idea roughly when we can expected this release? And any way I can get notified?
Hey there arceus! Sorry about that, we didn't expect things to take this long either D:
While playtesting we came across a huge bug that deformed all our sprites and deleted about 40% of the script. Currently, I'm planning to go over and meet with the team personally to try and fix everything.
We could release 1.2.ALPHA with a beauty patch in the near future, but we're also thinking about just releasing everything in one go instead of fixing the Do Not Love in increments.
Don't worry, we'll post a devlog once the next update drops, and I'll message you personally so you don't miss out!
Thanks for the support ^_^ we're working our best to get this up and running ASAP :D
Sorry to hear that about bugs with the script! Perhaps next time it would be wise to keep a daily backup as not to jeopardize all your work if something goes amiss. That's what I tend to do with my stuff anyway.
Looking forward to the next update in any case!
